A native of Harvard, Massachusetts, with formative summers spent in the Ozark Mountains, Ashley’s roots run equally deep in New England folk, Midwest grit, and the soulful lyricism of classic country. Introduced by legendary actor Barry Corbin, Ashley stepped into the iconic Opry circle alone with her guitar and delivered a spellbinding performance of her autobiographical song “Bad Girl,” a raw retelling of the bullying and trauma she fought her way out of.
